Multi Stream Transport, or MST, is a means of connecting one or more monitors together via a single display port. This technology makes it possible to connect say, two monitors to a laptop, using a docking station. This works by combining multiple video signals into one single stream and then ‘unpacking;’ them again on the display side. MST works on any Windows® device that supports DP Alt Mode (DisplayPort Alternate Mode), using USB-C.
